Police Blotter
The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Elmwood Park and River Grove police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
Elmwood Park
TRAFFIC
Jose Gutierrez, 50, of 1633 N. Keating Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 12:55 p.m. April 30 on 2700 block of 75th Court and charged with driving without a valid driver’s license. His court date is June 8.
Edwin Avila, 36, of 3725 N. Sayre Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 7:28 p.m. May 2 on 7200 block of Altgeld Street and charged with driving without a valid driver’s license. His court date is June 8.
OBSTRUCTION
Frank Heredia, 19, of 9613 W. Nevada Ave., Franklin Park, was arrested at 4:33 a.m. May 1 on 7500 block of Diversey Avenue and charged with obstruction, resisting a police officer and underage alcohol consumption. His court date is June 8.
THEFT
At 8:43 p.m. May 1 a theft was reported on 2700 block of 74th Court. Unknown persons took a barbecue grill from the back porch of a resident’s home.
At 2:26 a.m. May 6 a theft was reported on 7200 block of Grand Avenue. Unknown persons took stirring straws and tip cup from a Dunkin Donuts.
MARIJUANA
Robert S. Frawley, 21, of 3510 N. Emerson St., Franklin Park, was arrested at 3:15 a.m. May 3 at Altgeld Street and 76th Court and charged with possession of marijuana. His court date is May 17.
ASSAULT
At 8:28 p.m. May 45 an assault was reported at 78th Avenue and Cortland Street. Unknown persons in a passing purple 4-door vehicle threw an object, believed to be a stone, at a pedestrian striking her on the right thigh.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
At 7:55 p.m. May 3 a fence was reported damaged on 3100 block of 78th Avenue. Uknown persons backed a car into the fence causing slight damage.
River Grove
DUI
Luis Soto, 28, of 2709 S. Kenilworth Ave., Berwyn, was arrested at 12:38 a.m. May 5 on 2600 block of Thatcher Avenue and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and speeding. His court date is June 7.
ASSAULT
Lukasz Godlweski, 18, of 3749 School St., Chicago, was arrested at 6:20 p.m. April 30 on 8200 block of OConner Drive and charged with aggravated assault and underage consumption of alcohol by a minor. Godlewski allegedly used a BB gun to shoot at three people who were jogging down the street.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
On May 6 a car was reported damaged in the rear parking lot on 8400 block of Grand Avenue. Sometime between May 5 and May 6 unknown persons broke off the side-view mirrow of a vehicle. Damage is valued at $500. Anyone with information about incident are asked to call police.
