The following incidents were listed among the official reports of area police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
Elmwood Park
THEFT
A wallat was taken from a purse at 10:23 a.m. Aug. 6 at Panera Bread, 7330 North Ave.
Two bass drum pedals were reported missing from a house at 4:08 p.m. Aug. 6 on 2200 block block of 74th Court.
A catlytic converter was reported stolen from a black Kia Sportage at 11:38 a.m. Aug. 7 on 7900 block of Grand Avenue.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
Grafitti was painted on a white Caputo’s grocry store van sometime between 7:30 p.m. Aug. 5 and 9 a.m. Aug. 6 in the grocery store’s parking lot on the 2400 block of Harlem Avenue.
BATTERY
A woman was struck in the face with a shoe at 9:41 p.m. Aug. 7 on the 2500 block of 72nd Court.
Siblings were engaged in a shoving match at 4:50 p.m. Aug. 9 on the 2500 block of 72nd Court because one would not give the other a cigarette.
Two men were fighting at 8:05 p.m. Aug. 10 on the 2000 block of 72nd Court because of messages sent to each other on Facebook.
TRAFFIC
Luigi A. Alvarez, 23, of 8104 W. Grand Ave., was arrested at 2:21 a.m. Aug. 8 on the 7500 block of Grand Avenue and charged with driving while his license was suspended. His court date is Sept. 19.
Dennis E. Degante, 30, of 2213 N. Hoyne Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 8:09 p.m. Aug. 11 on the 7200 block of Grand Avenue and was charged with driving while his license was suspended. His court date is Sept. 14.
MARIJUANA
Nicholas Marino, 22, of 1922 N. 73rd Ave., was arrested at 9:02 p.m. Aug. 6 on the 7500 block of Marwood Avenue and charged with possession of marijuana. His court date is Sept. 14.
River Grove
DUI
Boayrom Martinez, 33, of 119 Bernice Drive, Bensenville, was arrested at 1 a.m. Aug. 13 on 9100 block of Grand Avenue and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, no valid driver’s license and having open alcohol. His court date is Aug. 15.
BURGLARY
A home was reported burglarized Aug. 10 on the 2500 block of Davisson Street. Sometime between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. Aug. 10 unknown persons entered through the basement window and took a computer, a Toshiba laptop and $200 from the basement of the home.
Franklin Park
THEFT
A purse was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 300 block of Atlantic Street at 10:15 p.m. Aug. 11. The purse contained $20, prescription, ID, Social Security card, Droid cellular phone and gold bracelet.
A Schwinn Ranger bicycle was reported stolen from the 3100 block of Rose Street at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 11.
VANDALISM
The passenger side window of a 2011 Chevrolet Cavalier parked on the 9100 block of Grand Avenue was reported smashed at 11:01 p.m. Aug. 9.
BURGLARY
Electric and hand tools were reported stolen from a vehicle on the 10500 block of Crown Road at 9:09 a.m. Aug. 9. The rear door lock was smashed open.
Northlake
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
Michael Brumbeloe, 52, of 225 S. Wolf Road, was charged with disorderly conduct at 2:47 a.m. Aug. 4, under a local ordinance. Police said he called 911 several times from home and said he couldn’t find his wallet and wanted police to find it. When paramedics arrived he told them the same. His next court date is Sept. 18.
ALCOHOL
Mariano Flores, 23, of 313 W. Green Meadows, Streamwood, as charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, no valid driver’s license, disobeying a traffic control device and driving with a blood alcohol level of more than .08 near Lake Street and I-290. His next court date is Aug. 21.
John Cederborg, 48, of 224 E. Parkview, Northlake, was charged with driving under the combined influence of alcohol and drugs at 4:14 a.m. Aug. 4 near Lake and Wolf. His next court date is Aug. 21.
