Paul Davis Restoration moves to new address

Paul Davis Restoration of Kane, Kendall and west Cook counties will be relocating to the former Valley Maid Ice Cream facility in 1115 Molitor Road, Aurora. The company was formerly located at 2740 Beverly Drive in Aurora.

“We are excited about the move and purchase of the property which has been vacant for a few years and has fallen into disrepair. We will be showcasing the great potential at this site by expanding our growing business while restoring and remodeling the structure,” said Jack O’Connell, owner of the local Paul Davis office. “It’s a great opportunity for our customers to view the quality work we provide.”

According to O’Connell, the location is rich in history. It is known for being the birthplace of Oberweis Dairy. In 1915, James Oberweis began selling excess milk from his family dairy business to the local community. From 1968 until 1987 the location was home to Valley Maid Ice Cream and then, for a brief time, the property belonged to Universal Sprinkler Systems.

The new location will accommodate O’Connell’s sales and administrative staff, and a state-of-the-art classroom for continuing education and training courses targeted at the insurance industry. Additional areas will include a warehouse and contents processing facility which features climate-controlled storage and cleaning equipment. The property features several buildings with approximately 1,800 square feet of office space and more than 6,000 square feet of warehouse area, plus the potential for another 6,000 square feet of space in a former dairy building.
