1. “Almost an Evening,” performed through July 8 at Circle Theatre, 1010 Madison St., Oak Park. The dark comic trio of plays explores the theme of hell — both here and hereafter — featuring the worst clerical error in eternity; an unlikely steam room encounter; and a heated debate between God and, well ... The festival features live music on two rock ‘n’ roll stages, a beer garden, two dining areas, antique market, local merchant sidewalk sale, children’s activities and stage, pony rides, a giant slide and more. 4. Chicago Dance Chapter of USA Dance, the national organization representing amateur ballroom dancers, presents “Foxy Momma” on June 9 at The Centre at North Park, 10040 Addison, Franklin Park.
