Pet of the Week
Jackie
Updated: October 11, 2012 4:03PM
Name: Jackie
Species: Dog
Breed: Retriever, Labrador/Purebred
Color: White/Yellow
Gender: Female
Age: 6 years, 9 months
Jackie is the sweet, housebroken, middle-aged lab so many families are looking to find. She was surrendered to the Animal Care League after her owner died. She was a loyal and very much loved pet who would like to live in that situation again. Jackie gets along well with other respectful dogs, loves everyone she meets and would do best in a cat-free home. Since the loss of her owner, Jackie has put on a few pounds so a new owner who is willing to help her work those off and become healthy and fit would be ideal. If you’ve been looking to add a dog to your family but don’t have the time and energy needed for a pup, come in and meet Jackie. You’re guaranteed to love her! Though she appears to be fine with children of all ages, a home with children older than 10 would probably be the best fit. Because Jackie is more comfortable in her foster home, she is available for adoption by appointment. Call (708) 848-8155 for more information and viewing hours.
