Kids Outdoor Garage Sale: 9 a.m.-2 p.m. June 16 at the Community Center, 9560 Franklin Ave. Reserve your spot now for the sixth annual Kid’s Outdoor Garage Sale. Create more room in your closets or attic by gathering up all those old clothes, toys and games. If you would like to participate, come to the Community Center to register by June 14. This sale is strictly for children’s toys, games, sports equipment, clothes and collectibles. An adult must accompany each space at all times. One 2- by 6-foot table will be provided for each space, or bring your own table. In case of rain, the sale will be rescheduled for the following Saturday, June 23. All ages. Fee: $10 per space.
Summer Camps

Youth Athletics

Micro T-Ball: 9-10 a.m. Ages 3-4 and 10-11 a.m. Ages 4-5 Saturdays, June 9- July 28 at Championship Park, “Field of Dreams,” 9201 Crescent Drive. Participants learn the fundamentals of baseball and interact with other players along the way. This class provides great memories, so bring a camera. Classes are moved to North Park in case of inclement weather. Call the rainout hotline (847) 451-8133, 30 minutes before the class. Each participant receives a baseball. Bring your own glove. Special Events
Special Recreation Summer: Carnival, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. June 9 at Trumbull Park in River Grove. For individuals with special needs and their families and for of all ages and abilities. Carnival games, prizes, raffled giveaways, entertainment, inflatables, snow cones, cotton candy and popcorn. Live entertainment from Sing with the Band Karaoke. Attendees will have the chance to be the lead singer in the band with drums, guitar and bass backing them up. Free for anyone who attends. Call Dawn at (708) 343-5270. Teen Programs
