No serious injuries in Harlem pileup

Just one person was taken to a hospital Monday after between eight and 11 vehicles crashed in Forest Park.

The wreck happened about 11:30 a.m. on Harlem Avenue above the Eisenhower Expressway, Illinois State Police said.

The crash involved between eight and 11 cars and happened on the ramp leading to outbound lanes of the Eisenhower at South Harlem Avenue, state police said.

One person involved in the crash was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, while another person complained of back pain but was not hospitalized, state police said.

The crash site was cleared and traffic was flowing normally as of about 1:30 p.m.
