The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Elmwood Park, River Grove and Franklin Park police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
Elmwood Park
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
At 3:45 p.m. June 4 a window was reported damage on the 2900 block of Harlem Avenue. Unknown persons scratched a window and defaced a wall and intercom box with a marker and pulled down the curtains in the lobby of a business.
At 6:58 p.m. Saturday a table was reported damaged on the 2600 block of 74th Court. Sometime between 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Saturday unknown persons broke a glass patio table.
At 11:42 a.m. Sunday a window was reported damaged on the 2400 block of 76th Avenue. Sometime between midnight and 9:45 a.m. Saturday unknown persons tried to break the basement window of a residence.
MARIJUANA
Brian Myrda, 18, of 2233 76th Ave., was arrested at 8:26 p.m. June 4 on the 2600 block of 77th Court and charged with possession of marijuana. His court date is July 19.
Jose Madera, 20, of 127 Dolores Drive, Bensenville, was arrested at 10:31 p.m. June 5 on the 7900 block of Grand Avenue and charged with possession of marijuana. His court date is July 13.
THEFT
At 11:03 a.m. June 5 a theft from a residence was reported on the 7300 block of Grand Avenue. Several items were take from a foreclosed home.
At 9:27 June 5 a theft of property was reported on 2500 block of 72nd Court. A Nintendo DS game system was stolen from an apartment.
At 11:18 a.m. June 7 a theft from a vehicle was reported on the 2300 block of 78th Avenue. Unknown persons stole a camera from a car.
At 6:47 p.m. June 7 a theft from a residence was reported on the 2000 block of 73rd Court. Unknown persons entered the window of a residence and took a television and a video game system.
BURGLARY
At 11:51 p.m. June 6 a burglary to a garage was reported on the 2800 block of 73rd Avenue. Unknown persons forced entry to a garage and took power tools and hand tools.
At 11:40 a.m. June 8 a burglary to a garage was reported on the 2100 block of 74th Avenue. Unknown persons took several tools from the garage.
BATTERY
At 1:13 p.m. June 8 a battery took place on the 00 block of Conti Parkway. An employer allegedly punched one of his employees.
At 12:32 p.m. June 6 a battery was reported on the 7600 block of Belmont Avenue. An 82 year-old man was pushed to the ground.
At 6:39 a.m. Sunday a domestic battery was reported on the 7200 block of Grand Avenue. A woman was allegedly struck in the face by her boyfriend after she struck him with a mirror.
ASSAULT
At 7:19 p.m. June 8 an aggravated assault was reported on the 2100 block of Harlem Avenue. A man displayed a knife during a dispute over a gas pump.
At 8:44 p.m. June 8 an assault was reported on the 2000 block of 72nd Court. A couple were arguing and a man allegedly threw an object at a woman, striking her in the back.
At 10:16 p.m. June 6 an assault was reported on the 3100 block of 76th Avenue. A man displayed a box cutter knife to two men after asking them for a cigarette.
ROBBERY
At 1:20 a.m. Saturday an armed robbery was reported on the 2800 block of Harlem Avenue. A man was confronted by two other men, pushed to the ground and they took $40 and his cell phone.
River Grove
DUI
Fidel DelGado, 31, of 2638 N. Mulligan Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 2:08 a.m. Sunday on the 8000 block of Grand Avenue and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, driving with open alcohol and speeding. His court date is July 24.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
Sometime between Friday and Saturday a garage was reported damaged on the 2500 block of West Street. Unknown persons forced open the side door of a garage, but did not take anything. Anyone with any information is asked to contact River Grove Police Department.
THEFT
Sometime between 8 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Saturday a motorcycle was stolen on the 8600 block of Grand Avenue. Unknown persons took a blue 2011 Suzuki motorcycle from a rear parking lot. Value: $10,000. Anyone with information is asked to contact River Grove Police Department.
Franklin Park
THEFT
At 4:13 p.m. June 3 a theft was reported on the 2500 block of Maple Street. A person’s iPhone was being used to supply music at a party, but at the end of party the iPhone was missing.
TRAFFIC
Kristopher Reich, 23, of 2504 George St., was arrested at 8:30 p.m. June 3 at Chestnut Street and Atlantic Avenue and charged driving on a suspended license and no insurance. His court date is July 12.
Maria D. Solis-Marin, 32, of 2148 Monitor Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 7:50 a.m. June 4 on the 10000 block of Grand Avenue and charged with driving without an valid driver’s license. Her court date is June 28.
THEFT
At 10:17 a.m. June 4 a theft was reported on the 3000 block of Ernst Street. A person who lost his cell phone reported to police that it is allegedly being used by someone else.
At 6:35 p.m. Friday a theft was reported on the 9500 bock of Belmont Avenue. Sometime between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Friday, unknown persons removed the rear license plate off of a car, which was parked in a Metra train station parking lot.
At 6:35 p.m. Sunday a theft from a home was reported on the 2500 block of Maple Street. Sometime between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. unknown persons removed a table umbrella from the backyard of a home. Value: $100.
BATTERY
At 2:37 p.m. June 5 a battery was reported on the 9300 block of Franklin Avenue. A woman received a black eye and bruised head due to an altercation.
At 10:21 p.m. June 6 a battery was reported on the 10000 block of Grand Avenue. A dispute between two men escalated into a fight. One man was hit in the face.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
At 6:33 p.m. June 5 a home on the 2500 block of George Street was reported damaged. Sometime over the past few days unknown persons shot two holes in the front window of a home with a BB gun. Value: $200.
At 7:59 a.m. Friday items in a park were reported damaged on the 1000 block of Addison Avenue. Sometime overnight unknown persons spray-painted buildings and a car in North Park.
BURGLARY
At 3:13 a.m. June 7 a garage was reported burglarized on the 3000 block of Rose Street. Sometime overnight unknown persons took power tools and a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
Sometime between 9 a.m. May 29 and 4:30 p.m. June 2 a residence was burglarized on the 9500 block of Davis Avenue. Unknown persons entered the residence and removed all of the appliances, including a stove, refrigerator, washer and dryer. Value: $2,000.
