Elmwood Park, River Grove police blotter for Aug. 31

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Elmwood Park and River Grove police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Elmwood Park

ALCOHOL

Eberto Jimenez, 39, of 3619 W. Diversey Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 6:32 a.m. Aug. 30 on the 7100 block of Grand Avenue and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol. His court date is Oct. 12.

River Grove

BATTERY

Genette Castellon, 22, of 3134 N. 78th Ave., Elmwood Park, was arrested at 8:08 p.m. Aug. 30 on the 3100 block of Thatcher Avenue and charged with two counts of battery. Castellon entered the Dominick’s grocery store and allegedly tried to leave the store with $85 worth of liquor without paying for it. She allegedly kicked and spit at police and security guards when apprehended. Her court date is Sept. 20.

TRESPASSING

Andre Brown, 29, of 10963 S. Morgan Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 7:08 a.m. Aug. 30 on the 3100 block of Thatcher Avenue and charged with criminal trespass to property. He allegedly caused a disturbance inside Dominick’s grocery store and refused to leave, but later allegedly asked police to arrest him. His court date is Sept. 25.~.
