ELMWOOD PARK — A 19-year-old Elmwood Park man has been charged with marijuana possession.
Michael E. Pszczola, of 2109 N. 75th Court, Elmwood Park was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver on Oct. 19.
Police raided the house at 5:23 p.m. Oct. 19, knocking in the door when no one answered, Deputy Police Chief Andrew Hock said.
Hock said police found 26 grams of marijuana. They also allegedly found a scale and a glass pipe.
Pszczola was also charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
River Grove and Riverside police assisted, as did a dog from the Forest Park Police canine unit.
The drug raid is the second this month by Elmwood Park police, the first on Oct. 4. The locally handled raids are a change.
“Before we would have outside agencies,” Hock said. “Typically we’d go through the county. With the logistics of the county and the widespread drug problem they have, it was easier to do it ourselves. It expedites the results.”
On Oct. 22, Pszczola was held against a $10,000 I-bond. His next court date is Nov. 14.
