Elmwood Park, River Grove police blotter Nov. 16

he following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Elmwood Park and River Grove police department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Elmwood Park

BATTERY

Lisa Hahn, 24, of 2502 N. 72nd Court, Elmwood Park, was charged with domestic battery after her arrest at 9:01 p.m. Nov. 12 on the 2500 block of North 72nd Court. Hahn allegedly threw a cell phone and struck someone in the right eye. She was issued a Dec. 14 court date.

ASSAULT

Janidet J. Lujano, 38, of 6005 W. 35th St., Cicero, was charged with assault after her arrest at 2:25 a.m. Nov. 8 on the 2500 block of North Austin Avenue in Elmwood Park. Lujano allegedly made threats over the phone to another person. She was issued a Nov. 30 court date.

ALCOHOL

Aileen Maldonado, 30, of 8827 W. Grand Ave., River Grove, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after her arrest at 2:10 a.m. Nov. 16 on the 8300 block of West Grand Avenue. Maldonado was also charged with driving the wrong way on a divided highway after police pulled her over for driving allegedly erratically. She was issued a Nov. 30 court date.

Alexis Santana, 30, of 1323 N. Campbell Ave., Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after his arrest at 4:29 a.m. Nov. 11 on the 2400 block of North Harlem in Chicago. Santana was also charged with resisting an officer, battery, assault and operating a vehicle without insurance. Police allege Santana was discovered asleep at the wheel and later became combative with police after failing field sobriety tests. He was issued a Nov. 30 court date.

ORDER VIOLATION

Richard O. Melgar, 38, of 2529 N. Austin Ave., Chicago, was charged with violating an order of protection after his arrest at 2:18 a.m. Nov. 8 on the 2500 block of North Austin in Elmwood Park. Melgar was issued a Nov. 15 court date.

River Grove

ALCOHOL

Michael Tapia, 19, of 7743 W. Westwood, Elmwood Park, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after his arrest at 10:01 p.m. Nov. 9 on the 8000 block of Grand Avenue in River Grove. Tapia was pulled over after allegedly speeding. He was issued a Dec. 6 court date.
