Free health fair July 23 at Resurrection

Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center, 5645 W. Addison St., Chicago, will sponsor a free health fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 23, at the hospital. Registration is required by calling (877) RES-INFO; (877) 737-4636.
Physicians and clinical staff will offer a variety of free screenings and will be available to answer health-related questions. Screenings include: balance testing and posture assessments, blood pressure with heart attack and stroke risk assessment, body mass index, child obesity, colon cancer (hemoccult test for first 100 participants), foot and ankle, foot and vision.
Free health information will be available on cosmetic and plastic surgery, diabetes, gastrointestinal issues and procedures, pain management, poison control, proper hand washing, skin care and surgical procedures for breast cancer and gallbladder disease. Physician and clinical staff experts in these specialty areas also will be present to discuss them.
The City of Chicago will provide identification cards for seniors and there will be a raffle for 25 free school physicals. Giveaways will be provided to the first 100 attendees and refreshments will be available for all attendees.
Medical staff members participating in the health fair are: cardiologist David Fishman; pediatrician Karin Fiedler; podiatrists Milton Kondiles and Andrea Gillio; ophthalmologists from Chicago Eye Associates; surgeons Sam Speron and Alexandra Roginsky; gastroenterologist Amritbhai Patel; pain management specialist physician Michael Rock; dermatologist Belmina Michael; and internal medicine Haresh Sawlani.
Free parking is available in the hospital’s parking facility on Addison Street.
