Elmwood Park Police Blotter, April 16-23

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Elmwood Park and River Grove police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
Elmwood Park
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
At 1:57 p.m. April 16 a vehicle was reported damaged on 2200 block of 73rd Avenue. Unknown person slashed the tires on a car.
At 10:43 a.m. April 17 a car was reported damaged on 2100 block of 76th Court. Sometime between 9:45 a.m. April 16 and 7:30 a.m. April 17 unknown persons shattered the front windshield of a Ford Taurus with a large landscaping stone.
At 12:43 p.m. April 20 a vehicle was reported damaged on 2800 block of 75th Avenue. Unknown subjects kicked in the driver’s side window of a gray Nissan Versa.
BATTERY
At 7:56 p.m. April 16 a domestic battery was reported on 2400 block of 78th Avenue.
At 9:33 p.m. April 16 a domestic battery was reported on 1700 block of 72nd Court.
At 9:02 p.m. April 20 a domestic battery was reported on 2800 block of 72nd Court.
TRAFFIC
David Rivera, 38, of 2438 77th Ave., was arrested at 2:18 p.m. April 21 on 2600 block of Harlem Avenue and charged with driving on a suspended license. His court date is May 11.
THEFT
At 5:05 p.m.. April 22 a theft was reported on 2400 block of 76th Court. Unknown persons removed jewelry from a home. Victim believes the theft was done by someone her child knows.
River Grove
BATTERY
Henryk Wachowski, 56, of 11 Shade Tree Court, Algonquin, was arrested at 12:20 a.m. April 23 on 3100 block of River Road and charged with domestic battery. His court date is April 26.
James Stolen, 50, of 7834 W. Cressett Ave., was arrested at 12:56 p.m. April 20 on 8800 block of Grand Avenue and charged with battery and obstruction of identity. Stolen entered a gas station and allegedly placed two packages of deodorant in his jacket pocket. A store clerk stopped Stolen before he left the store and Stolen gave the items back, pushed the owner out of the way and ran off. He was later arrested. His court date is May 17.
DUI
Ronald Perfetti, 26, of 2 W. 770 Glencrest, Glen Ellyn, was arrested at 2:04 a.m. April 21 on 2500 block of River Road and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and speeding. His court date is June 12.
