Elmwood Park Police Blotter, June 11-18

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Elmwood Park and River Grove police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
Elmwood Park
BURGLARY
At 7:01 p.m. June 14 a burglary to a car was reported on 7600 block of Fullerton Avenue. Sometime Sunday night unknown persons forced open the door of a car and took a GPS system and the owners manual.
At 2:02 p.m. June 15 a burglary to a car was reported on 2700 block of 74th Court. Sometime between 12 p.m. June 14 and 12 p.m. June 15 unknown persons entered a possibly unlocked vehicle and removed several items.
At 11:42 a.m. June 16 a garage was reported burglarized on 2900 block of 74th Court. About 30 minutes prior to being reported unknown persons forced the garage door open and took several bicycles. Value: $800.
At 12:50 p.m. June 16 a garage was burglarized was reported on 2600 block of 77th Court. Unknown persons forced open the service door to the garage, but nothing was taken.
BATTERY
At 8:10 p.m. June 11 a domestic battery was reported on 7700 block of Fullerton Avenue.
At 6:51 p.m. June 12 a battery was reported on 7500 block of Bloomingdale Avenue. A woman grabbed and threw another woman to the ground.
At 7:49 p.m. June 13 a domestic battery was reported on 2000 block of 72nd Court.
At 8:18 p.m. June 17 a domestic battery was reported on 7200 block of Diversey Avenue.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
At 5:45 a.m. June 12 a vehicle was reported damaged at 73rd Court and Dickens Avenue. Unknown persons broke the rear window and front windshield of a car.
At 11:32 a.m. June 12 a vehicle was reported damaged on 7900 block of North Avenue. Sometime around midnight unknown persons broke the headlight and side mirrors of a motorcycle with a brick and the paint on the fuel tank was scratched.
At 10:09 p.m. June 13 a home was reported damaged on 2100 block of 74th Court. Unknown persons threw a rock through the front window of a home.
At 7:45 p.m. June 14 a garage was reported damaged on 1700 bock of 75th Court. Sometime between 8 p.m. June 13 and 7 p.m. June 14 unknown persons attempted to gain entry to the side door of a garage damaging it.
DUI
Armando Mercado, 40, of 2337 72nd Court was arrested at 4:24 a.m. June 13 on 2800 block of Harlem Avenue and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol. His court date is July 27.
THEFT
At 4:40 p.m. June 13 theft was reported on 7900 block of North Avenue. Sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. a box that was left by UPS at a residence was taken.
At 6:40 p.m. June 14 a theft was reported on 7900 block of Birchdale Avenue. Sometime between 9 p.m. June 12 and 6:30 a.m. June 13 unknown persons removed a license plate from a car.
At 6:57 p.m. June 14 a theft was reported on 2900 block of 77th Avenue. Jewelry worth $2,500 was taken from a residence.
At 3:55 p.m. June 15 a theft to a vehicle was reported on 2500 block of 73rd Avenue. Sometime between May 13 and June 14 unknown persons removed a spare tire from underneath a Jeep.
At 7:30 p.m. June 15 a theft of a package was reported on 7900 block of North Avenue. Unknown persons took a package that was delivered to a condominium before the recipient of the package could claim it.
At 12:41 a.m. June 17 a theft of a bicycle was reported on 2200 block of Harlem Avenue. Unknown persons removed a black bicycle from a laundry room.
At 9:19 p.m. June 17 a theft was reported on 2400 block of Harlem Avenue. Unknown persons stole another person’s state ID.
River Grove
DUI
Patryeja Andruszewski, 34, of 51 N. Conti Pkwy. was arrested at 10:49 p.m. June 16 on the first block of Conti Parkway after being stopped by police on 8000 block of Grand Avenue and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, fleeing and eluding and endangering the health of a child. Andruszewski allegedly drove away after police stopped her. She led police on a chase to her residence where she was arrested. Her son was in the car at the time of the incident. Her court date is July 10.
Jeremiaf Gonzalez, 28, of 3540 N. Oketo Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 3 a.m. June 16 on 8200 block of Belmont Avenue and was charged with aggravated driving while under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage, no insurance and driving on a suspended driver’s license. His court date is June 20.
David Delao, 48, of 9121 W. Grand Ave., Franklin Park, was arrested at 3:10 a.m. June 17 on 8900 block of Grand Avenue and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and speeding. His court day is July 31.
Jose Contreras, 31, of 2794 W. 144th St., Posen, was arrested at 1:26 a.m. June 17 at Grand and Thatcher Avenues and was charged driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding. His court day is July 24.
Franklin Park
BURGLARY
Someone attempted to pry open a garage door on the 3000 block of Pearl St. The incident was reported at 4:54 p.m. June 13.
A red 2011 motorcycle worth about $1,000 was reported stolen from a garage on the2900 block of Elder Lane at 12:32 p.m. June 11.
Two sets of golf clubs, two metal ladders were reported stolen from a garage on the 2500 block of Willow at 11:57 a.m. June 11.
Tools and a Harley-Davidson motorcycle were reported stolen from a garage on the 3000 block of Rose St at 3:13 a.m. June 7.
Citgo Gas station, 9500 Grand Avenue, was burglarized at 4:01 p.m. June 6. Three cartons of cigarettes and an undetermined amount of cash were stolen. The front door had been pried open.
