Elmwood Park, River Grove police blotter for Oct. 15

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Elmwood Park and River Grove police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
Elmwood Park
BATTERY
Damien Wileczek, 27, of 2803 N. 75th Ave., Elmwood Park, was arrested at 9:50 p.m. Oct. 9 on the 2800 block of 75th Avenue and charged with battery and two counts of resisting arrest. His court date is Nov. 30.
DUI
Kenneth L. Shack, 43, of 4314 Oak St., Bellwood, was arrested at 5:47 a.m. Oct. 12 on the 7800 block of North Avenue and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol. His court date is Oct. 26.
River Grove
DUI
Mark Burns, 24, of 5705 Belmont Road, Downers Grove, was arrested at 12:35 a.m. Oct. 13 on the 8800 block of Carey Avenue and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol. His court date is Nov. 27.
Mario Aguirre, 56, of 411 Chase Ave., Joliet, was arrested at 9:21 p.m. Oct. 13 on the 1900 block of First Avenue and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and hit and run. Aguirre allegedly rear-ended a vehicle and left the scene. His court date is Nov. 13.
Arthur Jarosinski, 39 of 105 Dover Drive, Des Plaines, was arrested at 10:52 p.m. Oct. 13 on the 8300 block of O’Conner Drive and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol. His court date is Nov. 13.
THEFT
Anthony Magro, 47, of 5207 W. Henderson St., Chicago, was arrested at 5:12 p.m. Oct. 13 on the 3100 block of Thatcher Avenue and charged with retail theft. Magro allegedly tried to leave Dominick’s grocery store with $874 worth of liquor and DVDs and tried to flee when confronted by police. His court date is Oct. 17. ~.
