Elmwood Park man found dead in vehicle on NW Side

CHICAGO — A body found in a vehicle in the Northwest Side Portage Park neighborhood Saturday morning has been identified as an Elmwood Park man.

The body was found in a vehicle in the 3600 block of North Menard Avenue about 10:15 a.m. Saturday, police said.

The man was identified as Paul Wohlers, 48, of the 2500 block of North 72nd Court in Elmwood Park, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office. There was no apparent trauma to the body.

His body was found in an approximately 10-year-old Ford Explorer, according to unconfirmed dispatch reports.

An autopsy was scheduled to be held Sunday to determine the cause and manner of death.
