League to host two candidate fairs

The League of Women Voters of Oak Park and River Forest will host two upcoming events for the public to meet local candidates in the run up to the primary election on March 20.
The first event is a Candidates Fair and Judicial Presentation to be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 at the Dole Branch Library, 255 Augusta, Oak Park.
Jim Nally, noted election lawyer, will talk about the election of judges. What are the different levels of state courts? How are judges appointed? What is retention? Get information and your questions answered at this event.
Then meet 7th U.S. Congressional District candidates Rep. Danny Davis and Jacques Conway as well as 78th Illinois House District candidates Rep. Camille Lilly and Michael Nardello.
Come meet 7th Illinois House Representative Candidates Princess Dempsey, Chris Welch and Rory Hoskins at a Candidates Fair to be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, at the River Forest Community Center, 8020 Madison.
