At East Leyden High School, 27 students were inducted into its chapter of the National Honor Society on Thursday, April 26, in the Little Theater at the school.

The candidates were selected on the basis of their academic excellence, service to the school and community and outstanding leadership skills.

The following students were inducted: Edessa Adde, Presley Brandt, Joaquin Cardenas, Angel Castillo, Anna Cylwik, Ivan Dimitrov, Michelle Fuentes, Lexie Garay, Roberto Garcia, Jolanta Hyc, Mariel Javier, Tomasz Karwas, Kamil Kesek, Courtney Kost, Tom Kubas, Frank Landowski, Shannon Le, Natasha Lenart, Anna Matyszewski, Justin O’Donnell, Natalia Parys, Amina Patel, Alexander Pitts, Nicole Roberto, Sweta Shah, Tiana Stephens and Kailyn Wnek.
