PBS films at
Dominican for documentry

Oak Park resident and host of National Public Radio’s “Wait Wait … Don’t Tell Me!” Peter Sagal, along with a crew from Insignia Films, recently visited Dominican University in River Forest to film scenes for an upcoming documentary on the Constitution, set to air on Public Television next year.

When the filmmakers needed a last-minute location to film in the Chicago area, Sagal, who is hosting the documentary, suggested Dominican.

“The campus has that academic feel to it,” Sagal said. “I was familiar with Dominican, and I’m happy that it worked out for us to come here.”

Filmmakers appreciated the idyllic setting, shooting exterior scenes in the Cloister Walk and interior scenes in the Noonan Reading Room.
