Guerin Prep hosts ‘Working’ reception Oct. 26

At 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, and Saturday, Oct. 27, in the Cuny Auditorium at Guerin Prep, 8001 W. Belmont Ave., River Grove, see the musical “Working.” Based on Studs Terkel’s best-selling book of interviews with American workers, “Working” portrays the men and women the world so often takes for granted..

Tickets are $10 and may be purchased from the box office 45 minutes before curtain.

An opening night reception will take place at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26. Tickets for the reception and performance are $25.

The Guerin Theater Department will perform in August 2013 at the American High School Theater Festival in conjunction with the Edinburgh Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland. Support of this production will help enable Guerin students to finance this trip.

Holiday craft and gift show Oct. 27

From 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, Guerin College Preparatory High School, 8001 W. Belmont Ave., will host its 32nd annual Holiday Craft and Gift Show. Proceeds benefit the Guerin Prep Parents Club. More than 95 crafters are participating.
