Since then I have not received a ticket. As I understood Paul Volpe’s comments, the camera has made an impact on people breaking the law and keeping the intersection safer. So why take it out? Plus it has generated $51,000 + in revenue to the village last year alone.
Do we want to lose that money? Where else will those additional funds come from? Who wins if someone is hit by a car because the sign and camera had been removed and some driver feels they can break the law because they are not being recorded? Is there an issue with following the law!?
I just don’t get it!
